Barack Obama, the US President arrived in Amman, on the latest leg of his Middle East tour. This was the last stop for Obama and probably the most successful of his stops. Here he discussed with the Jordanian parliament and King Abdullah ll over the topic of the two state solution for Palestine and Israel. He also emphasised that while he believed security in Iraq had improved, there was still the need for a "political solution" and said the goal was still "to have US troops no longer engaged in combat operations in Iraq''.
