Germany
The president turned his visit to Germany into a poignant reminder of the need to seek peace. He arrived in Germany on Friday. The trip occurred after his trip to the Middle East, and the issue of Mideast peace remained high "An important matter at hand". He and German Chancellor Angela Merkel worked for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. After visiting a concentration camp at Buchenwald he commented "To this day, there are those who insist that the Holocaust never happened -- a denial of fact and truth that is baseless and ignorant and hateful," What I don't understand is why Obama would go to Germany to discuss Middle Eastern problems.
