On 6-7 July 2009 President Obama along with his two children and wife Michelle Obama visited Moscow, Russia for several things. Firstly for the wreath honoring ceremony at the unknown soldiers grave. Secondly for the press confrence at the kremlin with Russian President Medvedev. Obama and Medvedev signed documents on nuclear arms reduction before their joint news conference at the Kremlin. They agreed on a target for reduction in nuclear arms and a deal to let United States troops fly in Russian air space. Later on the president meets with russian prime minister Vladimir Putin, for the first time. He described it as 'an excellent opportunity to put US-Russian relations on a strong footing'
